About Me
Hi! I'm Sancho Syquia. I spent most of my life in Manila, Philippines 🇵🇭, with some early years in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, and studied Math-CS at UC San Diego 🔱🇺🇸.
I'm an incoming Software Engineer at Meta, where I previously interned on tools for UX researchers and learned what it takes to ship technology at scale.
Growing up in a developing country shaped how I think about opportunity and impact. Since 2020, I've co-led Adaptech, a nonprofit working to bring tech and education to hundreds of low-income Filipino students.
I've also worked on patient-care systems at Mercury Alert AI, market intelligence at Spade AI, and the AI backbone for Veida AI, an app that helps students learn smarter with personalized study tools.
Outside of tech, I enjoy F1 🏎️, beaches 🏖️, poker 🃏, badminton 🏸, cooking 🍝, and scuba diving 🤿.
